Semu & Associates is a Team of Accountants, Auditors, Tax Consultants and Business Advisors operating under a partnership fully registered and licensed by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda and successful in offering a wide range of accounting, tax and financial management services to clients of different size and industry. Our Core Team

CPA ALOYSIUS KYEYUNE SSEMMANDA (FCCA, MBA, CPAU)

He is the 2018 ICPAU Gold Service Award, the highest award given to individuals who have made outstanding contribution to the accountancy profession in Uganda. He is an accomplished business executive, entrepreneur and lead business and strategic consultant in Uganda and beyond.

With over 30 years of experience in financial management, audit and consulting, CPA Aloysius is gifted with creating cost-friendly business models that have stood a test of time amidst dynamic social and economic dynamic situations. He is the Managing Partner of Semu & Associates.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK), a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from Makerere University. Formerly auditor at Deloite and Touche’ (Kenya), Civial Aviation Authority as Finance Director, Celtel (now Airtel) and Chief Executive and later Regional Director.

He is currently the proprietor of Multitech Business School, Chairperson Wakiso District Public Accounts Committee, Deputy Cultural Leader of Busiro County and sits on several Boards of reputable Organizations both in Government and Private Sector.

CPA MUGAGGA JOSEPH SSENGENDO (MBA, CPAU, CTA)

He is an ardent multi-skilled professional accountant passionate with promotion of good accounting practices in Uganda and beyond. He has trained many professional accountants and nurtured a number of them into their professional career.

Joseph has conducted audits for various entities in Uganda, including local and international Non-Governmental Organisations, private sector bodies as well as executing several tax and finance-related consultancies He was a top student in the CPA 2008 exams and 2017 Certified Tax Advisor course.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Makerere University, Certified Public Accountant and Certified Tax Advisor of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda. Formerly, he was Finance Manager, Deputy Principal, Budget Analyst, Tax Manager and Senior Lecturer for tax and accounting.

He sits on several boards, including Statewide Insurance Company Ltd, as a Board member and Chairman Audit Committee of her Board. He is also current chair of Audit Committee, Federation of Uganda Employers. CPA Joseph is our Team Leader on Taxation as well as Partnership administrative duties.
